Wesel County: LGI builds 40,000 sqm logistics center in Prologis Park

On May 1, LGI Logistics Group International will open a 40,000 sqm logistics center in Hünxe in Westphalia. The firm reported that it will ship Hewlett Packard printers to European customers from this site. The new building is the first stage of a commercial park for the consumer goods industry planned by Prologis Germany on the former BP premises. For this purpose, Prologis acquired the undeveloped area measuring 220,000 sqm last fall. Among other considerations, the central location, ideal connections to inland water transportation, railway and highway networks, as well as the flexibility of the project developer, were decisive factors, LGI commented.
